Tell us about the recent expansion and why?
We have noticed a huge shift in the industry with consumers becoming more health conscious and wanting to know what is in the water that they are drinking and giving to their kids to drink. People are making more informed choices and consider the chlorine, the fluoride, the kilometers of old pipes that tap water has travelled, the smell, as well as the taste. It is true that not all water is created equal. We are finding that we need to expand our services to be able to cater for the growing demand for many of these reasons.
Does that mean extra team members too?
How far are you now sending trucks?
We currently have four employees, plus ourselves. We made the decision about three years ago that we needed to hire staff to assist us, due to the increased demand. We were finding it impossible to keep up with our three young ones and the business. Some how we managed to do it alone for many years, however there was no balance.
We are currently looking for another delivery truck driver that has all of the qualities that we feel are important. Such as choosing to live a healthy lifestyle as well as being a people person with a friendly nature. It is essential working with spring water that the people we surround ourselves with are like minded and have a positive energy. It makes all of the difference and filters through to every aspect of what we do.
We deliver to Gympie, the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
Why is the business going so well?
Our main focus at Montville Mist Spring Water is to offer exceptional customer service and affordable prices, so every-one can enjoy the benefits of drinking chemical free, quality spring water. Peter always says the body is a temple…which pretty much sums it up. He says if you were driving a Mercedes Benz you would put the absolute best quality fuel in it that you could find. People these days are more concerned and don’t want to fuel their bodies with junk and preservatives. This goes with water too and the cocktail of chemicals that are found in tap water.
Filtered water is expensive given it is tap water with some nasties filtered out and contains little or no natural minerals which are essential for good health. Filters need replacing and they also often harbor bacteria. Spring water is the real deal. It takes the guess work out of it and is sourced from uncontaminated underground springs. Spring water takes on the natural minerals from the underground rock formations deep below the earth’s surface and the research shows it is the premium option. We have continued to grow at a rate that we can continue to offer a great product without compromising the personalized service that we have worked so hard to maintain. We feel so fortunate to be raising our kids here, surrounded by the pristine rainforest. It is our little piece of paradise and is so handy to the coast for day trips to the beach, during the warmer months. We feel we have the best of both worlds without the hustle.

Our kids love their sports and music and are involved with the Range United Soccer Club, Palmwoods Pool, Kronk Tennis, as well as piano lessons on the range. Through work we get involved in many community groups like the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre, Lions, Barung Landcare, Local schools, Real Food Festival, Variety and more.
